Lucknow Launches First Double-Decker Electric Bus In Uttar Pradesh

The City of Nawabs, Lucknow, is going green along with the rest of the world. The new E-Double-Decker buses from Lucknow are now operational. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, recently unveiled the first double-decker electric bus  in Lucknow. He unveiled the bus during the Aakanksha Haat event at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.

The first fleet of electric double-decker buses has arrived to ease traffic and enhance public transport. These buses are made to accommodate more people, which improves efficiency and helps to keep the air cleaner.

Everyone is intended to be able to use the new bus service. For shorter trips, fares start at ₹12, while the highest rate for a 30-kilometre ride is ₹45. Because of its affordability, this public transport is always accessible to all users. The audience cheered when the Chief Minister revealed that women will receive 50% off tickets for the new double-decker electric bus service. He also stated that every Saturday morning, ladies would be able to ride for free on the heritage route.

In keeping with the state's objective of cleaner, greener, and more effective urban mobility, this project is a component of a larger plan to extend the electric bus service to other Uttar Pradesh cities.

The double-decker electric buses have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and comfy seats, among other contemporary conveniences. In addition to encouraging sustainable transport in the state, these elements guarantee travellers a comfortable and joyful journey.
