With extreme weather conditions, constantly depleting natural resources and increase in carbon emissions, the need for sustainable and organic living has become sort of a trend quite recently. But if there is one woman who has not only been treading the path of sustainability for years now but also been inspiring many others to do the same, it is Jyotsna Kaur Habibullah from Lucknow.

An entrepreneur and philanthropist, Jyotsna Kaur Habibullah initiated her startup, Lucknow Farmers Market back in 2015, making it India’s first sustainable platform and community connecting the largest number of farmers, startups and artisans.

At the very beginning, this was started as a yearly affair that connected farmers, artisans and startups to consumers in Lucknow. But since 2018, monthly markets have started too. Jyotsna Kaur Habibullah, who is also the founder of FICCI Flo Uttar Pradesh has instilled the spirit of living life organically among many in Lucknow.

The motto of Lucknow Farmers Market is simple – to live life sustainably and reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. The products that they represent are 100% free from chemicals, being fully committed to promoting local, seasonal and fresh produce.

They aim to build a community that believes in reusing and recycling. We salute Jyotsna Kaur Habibullah’s dedication towards the cause and urge our readers to live life sustainably.
