Aahana Kumra – The Girl Who Made It From Lucknow To Bollywood

Of the beautiful chikankari, mouthwatering food and historic monuments, Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh is every tourist’s delight. But actually, it is the people of this vibrant city that make it so special. Lucknow has given many important personalities to this country, from politicians to entrepreneurs to actors and many more.

And one such gem is popular Bollywood actress – Aahana Kumra. Have you seen Bollywood films like ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha,’ ‘The Accidental Prime Minister,’ ‘Queen of Hearts,’ ‘Salaam Venky’? Hasn’t Aahana nailed her character in each one of them!

Aahana Kumra was born and brought up in Lucknow. Having an inclination towards acting since childhood, she did a lot of theatre roles in Lucknow. Her big break came in 2013 when she was cast in ‘Yudh,’ a 20-episode series opposite the man himself – Amitabh Bachchan. Ever since, she has been doing one fantastic role after another in Bollywood.

Not just movies, Aahana has also done many popular web series like ‘Inside Edge,’ ‘Rangbaaz,’ ‘Call My Agent Bollywood,’ ‘Betaal’ among others and a couple of television shows like ‘Bollywood Hero,’ ‘Yudh,’ ‘Agent Raghav’ and ‘Pro Kabaddi.’

Not only is she known for her work in the Hindi film industry but has also explored the Telugu film industry ever since her Tulu feature film debut in 2015 with ‘Kundla Café.’ She has also won the ‘Best Actress’ award at the Third Noida International Film Festival for her short film, ‘Siberia.’
