The festive season has already begun and preparations for the same can be seen all around. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on September 7. Over the years, Lucknow has seen many gigantic and beautiful Ganpati pandals to celebrate the festival in full fervor and offer blessings to God. But this year, the city will have a 50 feet high pandal.

Lucknow’s famous Paper Mill Ke Bappa are all set to return with a 50 feet high pandal designed on the theme of Jagannath Dham Puri. The construction of the pandal is still underway and is expected to be completed by September 5.

As per organizing committee member Prateek Sinha, the construction of the pandal has used 2400 meters of fabric, 50-60 kg nails and 13,000 feet of wood. The pandal will house Lucknow’s tallest Ganesh murti, standing at an impressive height of around 11 feet.

Not just this, many areas in Lucknow will have decked up pandals to celebrate Lord Ganesha with full enthusiasm. From the Shri Ganesh Utsav Mandal at Lohia Lawn in Chowk to ‘Manautiyo ke Raja’ pandal at Laxman Mela Ground to the traditional Ganesh Utsav organized by Maharashtrian Samaj in Aminabad every year which has an eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha, the city is all set for grand Ganesh Puja celebrations from September 7th – 15th.

So, brace yourselves for exciting events including dance performances, bhajan sandhyas, dandiya nights and Maha aarti and enjoy the festivities.
