1. Bara Imambara: Bara Imambara, which is a popular tourist spot in Lucknow is said to be haunted. The construction of the building started when a major famine hit the city which led to loss of lives. The ‘Tehkhana’ in the monument was used by the Brirtish to lock up Indians and some say you can still hear and see haunting images of people losing their loved ones.

2. Begum Kothi: According to history, 600-700 freedom fighters died at Begum Kothi during the independence struggle. Many people have heard and seen unusual sounds and images of the restless souls of these freedom fighters.

3. Nirala Nagar: Nirala Nagar in Lucknow is a busy area but said to be haunted as well. The Nirmala colony in Niarala Nagar has been built on a cremation ground. It is believed that the spirits living here can impact the lives of the people residing in the area.

4. Sikandra Bagh: The story behind Sikandra Bagh will give you chills. It is said that more than 2000 Indians were killed by the British soldiers here. Instead of performing the last rites, the British soldiers left the bodies of the brave Indians to rot in Sikandra Bagh and vultures fed on them. Many locals have heard creepy voices here at night.

5. Balampur Hospital: The Balampur Hospital was built by the British over a graveyard. If you ever go inside the hospital, you can still notice some graves. Many patients have reported some uncanny incidents and claimed to have seen figures from windows.

6. Railway Quarters: The haunted tales about Railway Quarters revolve around love and infidelity. In the British era, a railway quarters named Turrets was allocated to a newly married chief engineer, Bill Turner. One day, the engineer returned home to see his wife in the arms of another young man. He took out his gun, shot his wife, the man and himself. Ever since, people have claimed to hear weird noises and uncanny images which are unexplainable.
