Lucknow is all set to get immersed in the cricket fever as the Ekana Stadium will host the opening ceremony of the 2024 UP T20 League which is the second edition of this league. The league will kickstart with a match between the defending champions, Kashi Rudras and Meerut Mavericks at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on August 25.

Not just this, the opening ceremony will be full of glitz and glamour as popular names from the entertainment industry like Badshah, Kriti Sanon and Ayushmann Khurrana will light up the stage with their enthralling performances.

The six teams that will be competing in this league which has a total of 34 matches are Gorakhpur Lions, Kanpur Superstars, Kashi Rudras, Noida Super Kings, Lucknow Falcons and Meerut Mavericks. The auction for this edition was held on July 30.

The opening ceremony is set to start at 5:30 p.m. IST at the Ekana Stadium and the match will begin at 8:00 p.m. The Uttar Pradesh T20 League will be played in Lucknow from August 25 to September 14 and celebrated former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has been named as the brand ambassador of the tournament.
